Excel

Hi again,
ist there a way to export Kerning, LSB, RSB, etc. to an excel spreadsheet?

Thx!
Georg

What for? Just viewing? Try the list view then. Otherwise, it’s easy to write a script for that.

for comparing two fonts

Try opening those two fonts in Glyphs and then Edit > Compare Fonts…

I know about that
A printed Excel sheet simply would make it a little more clear and allows handwritten notes

Is this what you mean?

Yes, this is fine, thx!
Can you please also include the kerning tables?

I added both scripts to my Github repository. Here is the one for the kerning:
https://github.com/mekkablue/Glyphs-Scripts/blob/master/Metrics/Export%20Kerning%20CS V%20to%20Desktop.py

The scripts are now updated with a proper Save Dialog, please get them here:

hej mekka,

for some reason all your updated scripts don’t appear in glyphs. each folder i put a new version of the .py into is away after a restart of glyphs (Version 1.3.17 (429))

Mark, you cannot select any of the scripts and do a Save Link As; you will end up with a html document, not a script.

Click on each one, copy the code (button to right of name), paste into a text editor and save it as the appropriate .py script. Put them all into the Scripts>Metrics folder and everything will be fine then.

george, thanks. this makes sense.

Or download the whole zip file from this page: https://github.com/mekkablue/Glyphs-Scripts
Zip link in the top left corner.

Thx mekkablue!

Best Wishes
Georg
