I’ve came across a problem when exporting my variable font. It seems the export is ignoring the bracket layers in InDesign. Please see the attached images. This happens with all the letters.

Your setup is not correct. Did you mean to use brace layers? If not, you need to add a [360] layer on the UltraLight and in the ExtraBlack master. But I don’t see a reason why that would be needed. So most likely you need one brace layer at {400}.
After drawing the two masters, the highilghted part does not interpolate as I wish (it’s too thin, when going towards the Regular) so I added two bracket layers, which kick in before the Thin (361) & Light (464) instances.
It looks as I planned in the OTVar player.

I must have mistaken the use of the Bracket and Brace Layers. I got it now!
