Export SF-Symbols fails; Export panel becomes unresponsive after first failed attempt

Hi everyone,

I’m running into an issue when exporting SF-Symbols.

What happens

  • Exporting Symbols fails (no successful export).
  • After the first unsuccessful export attempt, the Export panel becomes unresponsive.
  • At that point, I can’t interact with the panel anymore (buttons/controls don’t respond).
  • The only way out is pressing Escape, which closes the export process and returns me to the app.

Steps to reproduce (approx.)

  1. Open a file that contains Symbols.
  2. Go to Export.
  3. Try exporting Symbols.
  4. Export fails.
  5. Try exporting again → the Export panel is now unresponsive.

Question

Has anyone seen this before, and is there a known workaround?

  • Glyphs version: 3.5 (3512)
  • macOS version: 26.2 (25C56)

Thanks!

I tried the 3.2 version—same result.

Experiencing the same problem, Export is no longer working and the Export popup is not responding to mouse clicks after second attempt, only ‘Enter’ key with the keyboard to get out of it (this is also happening in other popup windows in Glyphs lately - mostly plugin windows).
Hoping for a solution soon.

Sorry that it took so long. I just uploaded a new version of the SF-Symbols plugin. You need the latest cutting edge version for it to work. (You might need to remove an re-install from the plugin manager to get it).
The new plugin support some of the newer features …
Please report any issues you find.

Hey, thank you so much for fixing this so quickly — I really appreciate the fast turnaround :folded_hands:

I’ve installed the new version and can confirm it’s working perfectly now.

Thanks again @GeorgSeifert for the update and for being so responsive.
