Exporting a variable font

Is it feasible to export a variable font without the inclusion of cubic nodes?

I’m attempting to create a Drawbot script for exporting weight animation with visible handles and points. While static exports don’t include additional points, variable fonts seem to introduce cubic points.

I would recommend using the Drawbot plugin in Glyphs to animate directly from your working file.
