Feature request: Stroke end controls

Finally trying out Glyphs 3 - great work all around. Especially love the new stroke controls but have a suggestion for the stroke end settings.

Being able to lock the end to either horizontal or vertical automatically is great, but adding options to force one or the other would be fantastic. So either ‘off’, ‘auto’, ‘force horizontal’ or ‘force vertical’.

My humble UI suggestion:

We’ll think about it. What do we do if a stroke ending is set to force horizontal and the stroke itself is horizontal?

That’s a fair point. Off the top of my head, I guess you either show an error or just draw the stroke ‘as is’.

I’d be inclined to set a minimum intersecting angle to the desired orientation (say 5-10 degrees) and show an error if the angle is below that.

Not sure on the best way to show that error though…

I’ll see what I can do.

Thank you Georg!
