Hello,

I am having this situation in which the color of the Features code in dark mode has barely any contrast with the background and, since I want to write quite some code here, it would be nice to be able to change these colors to some others to make it more legible.

I was looking at Glyphs API’s GSApplication but I could not find any exposed property I could change to achieve this. I know I could code this inside an IDE but would it make sense to at least change the color schema when dark theme is set in the Application?

the colors depend on the system acent color. And you seem to use “Purple” and that is indeed a bit too dark. All other colors are much easier to read. I’ll have a look to improve this.

Yes, indeed it is hard to read and it would be great to be able to change these colors manually only inside Glyphs and not changing any other system setting.

I improved the colors for the Purple setting. I’ll think about the customization.

Just ran into this too. I also had Green as an accent color in previous version of Glyphs/OS and I don’t recall it changing the coding colors. All the colors are really hard to read…only the Multi is readable.

+1 for customizing and/or having some preset coding color themes.

do you mean the colors in Glyphs 3 or 4?

I meant in Glyphs 3.

I like all the color combos in Glyphs 4 better…except for the Green accent mode where it feels more muddy and difficult to read.

They are hard coded now, so if you suggest better colors, I can add them (before it was an algorithm to derive them from the accent color).

Will it also be hardcoded in Glyphs 3?

I’m not great with colors…just know when it feels off but I can test.
In Glyphs 4, is it or will it be possible to change colors through a parameter setting?
Any chance it would be part of the color UI in the Appearance menu?

I don’t plan to change it in Glyphs 3.
