First points on open corners

Hi!
“correct path direction” is great to make things compatible. Most of the time it works perfectly and saves a ton of time. But sometimes I get an issue (which requires manual annoyance) when the lowest point is an open corner point on some masters, but not all… For me that’s actually quite often the case. Sometimes it can be resolved by bringing the open corner point above the baseline, but sometimes that’s not possible.
So I’m thinking would there be a way for glyphs to ignore open corner points from its lowest point algorithm to become more efficient?
