Fixing Vector paste issue from Illustrator

Hi All,
I was having some issues pasting shapes from Illustrator. After trying loads of things to resolve it, I finally figured it out:
Illustrator shapes have their opacity at 100% otherwise Glyphs won’t paste them.

Try pasting the shape in its current state. Then make the opacity 100% and repeat.

The way how Illustrator puts the shape into the pdf that is put on the clipboard is difficult to parse. I see if I can get the SVG import to step in in such cases.

However, I’m not completely sure it’s an issue.
Pasting a semi-transparent object into Glpyhs wasn’t my intent. I’d set the transparency for other reasons.
Is there is a scenario where transparency works in glyphs?

Yes, in a Color layer.

The transparency is not the problem per se but that the shape is defined as a clipping path.
