Hey,
Actually stumped on this one, I have a student’s font project that is choosing to not appear in InDesign whatsoever. It’s loaded into the “Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts” location, and I even tried placing a copy of it into the direct “Applications/Adobe InDesign 2024/Fonts” location and rebooted ID and still nothing.
There’s no errors popping up in the Exporting process. Any help to guide them on?
D
The messages I get after doing one round with the Open Type default selected, and then a second with Adobe fonts selected are:
Failing Checks:
Checking all files are in the same directory.
Each font in a family must hae the same set of vertical metrics values.
Warnings:
Make sure all font files have the same version value.
Sorry, I’ve only just finally made an account on here so it’s giving me the “new users cannot upload attachments” message. Even trying to upload it to this main thread gives me the same message. D’oh…
I could email it from my university email to you? But I understand if that comfort level isn’t there, I could maybe send it direct to Georg for fun pestering but I was trying not to overload him at the moment
For those maybe only catching this thread the two fixes were:
–Removing the “Localized Family Names” parameter in Font Info > Font, which had “New Value” as its value. Don’t use this unless necessary.
–No exports were defined, so added an Instance. Now exporting from there works fine, the font shows up in InDesign!
