G4 [4004] "Problem generating the gvar table"

Trying to export a ttf variable font that exports fine with G3, getting this message in G4.

Single instances work well in any format. Any ideas?

(In case you need the file, Georg, it’s the same I sent you last week regarding the Cap issue.)
