G4: Adding Unicode to a glyph with a saved custom category triggers sidebar errors

Glyphs 4.1 (4102)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the attached Glyphs4-Custom-Category-Unicode-Repro.glyphs.

  2. Select newGlyph.

  3. Enter a Unicode value, such as F400.

  4. Press Return or click elsewhere.

Result

Glyphs displays a sequence of “Invalid filter in sidebar” alerts for several built-in category and subcategory filters. The Unicode is assigned after dismissing the alerts.

The problem appears after a glyph with a custom category has been saved and the file reopened. Creating and editing the same glyph before reopening the file does not appear to trigger it.

Many thanks for the reproducible test case. I was after this for some time … Fixed it.

Thanks so much.
