setting up alternate layers doesn’t work

I opened an old file (made with G3) and it’s broken too

Same for me, alternate layers don’t work on G4, neither on preview nor at export. When I open the same file on G3 it works fine.

That sounds like a different issue. Could you send me a test file as well?
