Generate Instances - filter is not applied?

Hi,
Is it normal that while using Generate Instances, a filter that is set in Exports (RoundCorner filter to be precise) is not being applied?
When exporting the same font (through Export…) the filter is working just fine.

The filter will still be applied on export for that instance.

It is applied on export but not when I do “Generate Instances”
