Not sure what’s going on here, maybe it’s cause the font is built with corner components.
Even when copying the exact same glyph and pasting it into the other master, it still says it’s not compatible. What’s going on?

Can you try “Tidy Up Paths”? There might be some corner component orphans that are floating around without being attached to anything.
Otherwise, check that you don’t have any incompatible intermediate layers.
‘Tidy Up Paths’ Didn’t work. I’m pretty clean with my corners, I went through and checked every letter before starting the lighter weight.
How would I check for ‘incompatible intermediate layers’? Currently I just have two masters, Light (100) and Black (700), with a Regular (400) being interpolated.
Here’s my working file: 2.0_Bloc.glyphs (310.5 KB)
In the Black master, the rounded corners overlap, making the path incompatible with the path on the Light master:
I just fixed that up on the /f, and it’s still not working. I’ve attached the updated file.
Edit: I got it to work by deleting all corner components, and then making sure the base is compatible before adding back the corners.
