I’m also curious ab. this, in tandem with LTTR/INK it would be very helpful to be able to f.e. hold down a command key and align the strokes as you would normally a path, but to/and from a compound shape (that includes the outline of the strokes)—and even be able to type in xy coordinates. So far I have created components to get the compound shape without expanding, but it’s not ideal.
Maybe there is another way? I’m fairly new to Glyphs.
