Can you first try to start without plugins. Hold down the Opt and Shift key when you start the app.
Yes restarting without all plugins really makes the difference. I run Version 2.6.4 (1283).
So all works quickly as before - now what about the plug ins?
One or more of the Plugins cause a slowdown. Are there any View Menu extensions you have activated all the time?
