We figured it out. FontCreator recently added support for .glyphs files but had the wrong file type. I wrote them and hopefully they fix it soon.

Thanks everyone, and thank you @GeorgSeifert for helping me with a workaround (deleting FontCreator until they fix) for now and writing to them.
