GlyphsQuickLook.qlgenerator keeps crashing ExternalQuickLookSatellite-x86_64

Is there a way to disable GlyphsQuickLook.qlgenerator? It keeps crashing ExternalQuickLookSatellite-x86_64 rather often on macOS 11.6.1 (Intel). I’d prefer not to use it.

Is this the latest version of Glyphs 3?
You don’t happen to know what .glyphs file is causing this?

Newest app. Unfortunately, I don’t know which file causes it — and I have many many font files in different formats. Some of them are of course buggy/malformed test files.

Hello Georg,

I realize this is relatively low-priority, but I’d really appreciate some method by which I could turn off /Applications/Glyphs

If I rename the folder Library to something else like Library.disabled, then Glyphs no longer launches. Some other way? com.glyphsapp.GlyphsQuickLook keeps crashing many times per day.

Is the latest version (3.0.4-3108) still crashing?

The only way some sometimes works is to put the app in a folder and add that folder to the Spotlight Privacy list in System Preferences.

I get some of those crashes (with older versions; Quicklook is picking them up once in a while). But I’m not impacted by it at all. Are you?

Just updated to 3108, no crashes so far. Thanks!

add that folder to the Spotlight Privacy list in System Preferences

Interesting, I never thought about it, but I will try that as well if needed.
