When you set a smart filter to “Has Special Layers = yes”, it includes glyphs which have smart settings (glyph.smartComponentAxes). Is that a bug? It’s nice to be able to filter for them, but it would be great to separate from special layers.
“Regular” smart glyphs do have special layers so this works as intended. The usage of smart glyphs to build small caps and such is not officially supported (yet).
Got it, I didn’t realize it’s not supported yet! Are such components safe to use at the moment though? Or can I expect them to break in some way with future updates?
It should work but only unofficially.
