How do I see this view in the 'Show instances' panel?

Is tis view of one black instance superimposed over another weight in grey a glitch? I can’t seem to replicate it in any other window.

That might be a reporter plugin. Check the View menu.

You probably have turned the visibility on for a different master than the one you are editing.

Yes, I also noticed it only shows when there is just the dash in the Show all instances menu.
