How to copy to background without deleting what is already there?

Hi there,

Is there a way to copy contours to background (crtl + j) without deleting what is already there in the same way crtl + m works in Fontlab 5?

TIA.

R.

alt + cmd + j = Add to Background

(go through the drop down menus while pressing alt – there are several additional options!)

I feel like I’m just becoming aware of all the neat things adding option to keyboard shortcuts can do for your design flow.

ahah yes of course sorry

option + command + j seems to work only on edit tab. Is there a way to do the same thing in font (glyph tile) view?
