How do i preserve fractional coordinates on export? Is it possible with TTF?

No. Fractional coordinates only export into CFFs.
You can get close if you scale to a higher UPM, like (2^13=) 8192 or so. But your TTF will be less compatible then.

Thanks, looks ok with TFF and a higher UPM.
If i wanted to go for CFFs and fractional coordinates, what would be my main concern? Node count?
Test, test, test. Some systems may have performance problems. See the tutorial about Complex Outlines.
And QuarkXPress and some older printer drivers have problems displaying the closepath segment.
