Instance custom parameter won't apply to "Generate Instances"

I set some transformation as instance custom parameter, it works perfectly when I export, but won’t take effect when I hit “Generate Instances” under File menu.

Was it supposed to work only for exportation?

Yes. Generate Instances creates new .glyphs files. Filter parameters are kept in Font Info > Instances of the new file. Is it not there?
