Issue with init/medi/fina glyphs in Cutting Edge version

The problem with doing it with calt is that it can’t be turned off independently of the rest of the calt features, which might not be discretionary like the positional forms. For example, many people use an f.calt substitution in lieu of f_i.liga, f_l.liga, etc. If discretionary positional forms are also in calt then they’re on by default in InDesign and turning them off also turns off an essential feature. The positional forms could be a stylistic set, but using the Glyphs .init/.medi/.fina nomenclature is also a nice quick ‘n’ dirty way to test them without having to write any feature code.

And generating that code automatically and exporting it to .otf is and always was supported. The only thing that was not, is the automatic preview with the positional features selected in edit view.
