Issue with Variable Font export (3220)

It appears that changes made in the recent update have caused an issue with VF export.
I have a .glyph file with a standard design space, and there’s no ‘Disable Masters CP’. However, the VF export is not interpolating correctly. Everything worked fine with stable version 3.1.2 (3151).

Even without any Axis Location CP, VF is not correctly interpolated.
