Italic corner component trouble

I have this issue with the Italic corner component when the component is used mirrored.

The corner component works the best having only an origin anchor, and moving that around doesn’t help.

Is there a way to avoid drawing a mirrored version of the existing corner?

For italics, you most likely need another corner glyph.
