Keyboard options (with the 'fn' key) to replace Apple keyboard?

I’m trying to find some alternatives to the standard keyboard on a MacBook (based in the US). I’d like something a little more ergonomic but not too bulky/wide. (Tried the Logitech Wave for Mac, liked it, but didn’t like having the number pad on the side — mouse felt too far away.)

What I’m having a hard time with is finding options that have the same basic layout of the Apple keyboard — particularly many seem to be missing the ‘fn’ key on the lower left corner (either just having three keys over there and moving it to the right of the space bar, moved to the top, or not having it at all).

This may not be a big deal in most cases, but I do like the layout and function of how Glyphs uses that key to toggle quickly through glyphs.

Perhaps others have used a different keyboard and have found a workaround?

Many of the features for which you need the fn key can be accessed with Page Up/Down and Home/End keys.

I have a MX Keys Mini Mac from Logitech. It has the same arrow key layout as the MacBook. The MacBooks switched back the to half height left/right arrow keys, but the external keyboard from Apple didn’t.

Thanks for the replies Florian and Georg.

I’m going to look more at the MX Mini that you have Georg. It was one that did come up a few times in some quick research.

(FWIW - I liked the Wave one I mentioned, but also found that that slight curving away of the keys placement affected my muscle memory of the MacBook keys layout I was used to)

The most important criteria for an external keyboard is that it needs the same keyboard layout and size as the MacBook keyboard to not disturb muscle memory.

Picked up the MX Mini for Mac (made the mistake of accidentally getting the non-Mac version first)… so far, liking it and it does seem to mimic the Apple keyboard nicely, but actually may like the typing experience even better on this.
