Line Spacing

Hello there,

does anyone know how I can adjust the line spacing in glyphs?

i tried a lot (like scale up the ascender/descender height, scale to new upm,…)
but still, the line spacing doesn’t change in my InDesign test document (there are still instances where ascenders and descenders “collide“).

Would be great if somebody could help me

Many thanks and best regards,
carmen

Try just to set a bigger UPM. And if that does not help got to Font Info > Masters >custom Parameters and add a bigger value for TypoAscender and TypoDescender (and fitting WinAscent and WinDescent) See Typophile for details.

Tried everything, somehow nothing works :frowning:

Could you please explain what I should type in “TypoAscender“ etc.? I tried all kinds of numbers and things like “+500“, but nothing happens.

In the left column select TypoAscender from the popup. And in the right column put in the value.

As long as you try to get it right for InDesign, Only the UPM is used to calculate the line height, if I recall correctly.

That’s exactly what I did, but I still couldn’t get it working… but I’ll try over and over again… Thanks for your answer so far!

I You have to ALWAYS export the fonts to the Adobe Fonts folder: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts
Otherwise you get a lot trouble with the font caches.
