I want to duplicate a letter shape, but link the duplicate to the original so that any edits I make to one automatically apply to the other. Additionally, I want the duplicate to be mirrored (flipped horizontally). This way, I can edit just one side of the monogram, see the symmetrical result in real time, and save time by not having to manually repeat changes on both sides.
Use a component.
Create one glyph called “monogram.half” or something. Add the outlines you want to mirror in there.
In your glyph with the final monogram, add that component twice. Flip one of them horizontally.
