The reason it’s why it’s written like that is so that automated crawlers don’t pick up the mail address for sending spam mail.
It’s perfectly understandable for humans.
So please remove the mail address (which is correct) as you wrote it from your post.

they email back same day, what’s the issue?
The issue was/is the format in which the contact information is presented, not the contact experience itself.
