Would there be any harm in having some kind of validation for metrics keys? I’m sometimes referencing sidebearings of another glyph, only to discover later that I’ve mistyped the thing and it’s therefore not syncing.
I have a script for that on my Github (called Report Metric Keys, though I’ve written it for G1 and updated the code for G2 without thorough testing).
I was more thinking it could check when typing the metrics whether it’s referencing a present glyph and warn/raise an error if it’s not.
That would be useful. I maek lots of typnig mistaeks.
