The Metrics Solver plugin is giving me some false errors probably because it has not been updated in seven years. Instead of having that installed can you not turn the functionallity into a built-in function? The missing bit being the visual marking of glyphs that are not in coherence with their metrics key.
That plugin will mess up the undo quite a bit. Until I can figure that out, I will not enable the functionality.
