Missing Glyphs in illustrator / indesign

Hi,

A client of mine has bought a font without some essential glyphs, as é è ë, ß. So I imported the OTF file into Glyphs v2.6.6 and illustrated the missing files. When I exported the font to OTF, the letters are all in there. But when I want to type into illustrator, somehow these glyphs are missing.
I did start my Mac with Shift, so it restarted in the safe mode, but that doesn’t help.
Does anyone know the solution to this?

You have the original font still installed? This is probably a font cache problem. Read this please: https://www.glyphsapp.com/learn/eliminating-font-cache-problems

Consider renaming it before exporting again.

No, I don’t have the original font and I already deleted the cache with the safe mode. Or is there any other way to delete the cache from Adobe?

This sounds like a font conflict or cache issue. InDesign has an option to tell you which exact font file it is using: see the section ‘Tracking down problems’ in this tutorial.

Thank you for your answer! We found the problem!

For the record (for other users who may have a similar issue in the future), what exactly was it?
