Modern Hebrew Alphabet

Hello everyone,

I’ve been spending some days searching on the internet about this topic (unicode.org, other forums…) and didn’t find actually what I wanted. Since I want to design my first hebrew typeface I’ve been looking for a kind of encoding for a modern hebrew typeface without cantillation but I didn’t find it. Also, I saw some typefaces including some wider characters?

So, to sum up, what characters are suposed to be included in an Hebrew typeface nowadays?
Do you know any encodings?
Any tips for a newbie in Hebrew type design?

Just add the Hebrew glyphs you want to use and leave out the cantillation marks.

Thank you Rainer, I finally realised that the character set I need was the basic one shown in Glyphs.
