OK I had a look. You can keep the features automated. Here is what I did:
- In Font Info > Font, deleted the codepage ranges and unicode ranges parameters.
- In Font Info > Other Settings I disabled the Use Custom Naming option, I proceeded to select all glyphs in Font view and ran Glyph > Update Glyph Info. (While I was at it, I also ran Correct Path Direction and Tidy Up Paths from the Paths menu.)
- In Font view, I added all glyphs in Languages > Latin > Western European to the font. This probably did the trick. I suspect that certain glyphs in the Windows 1252 encoding are expected. If you want to be on the safe side, add all glyphs in Filters > Windows 1252.
- I exported without hinting, but with overlap removal.
