Multilingual Master for a cursive Font

Hence the design of Latin glyphs is planned with 16 degree angle, while the Arabic glyphs are constrained to a minus 16 degree angle, Is it possible to have in the same Glyphs file two mirrored angles: one for LTR and the other for RTL ?

Yes. With the italicAngle parameter in your masters. Use arabic:-16 as value.

Is it okay if I set this metric in Font Info → Masters?
Are there any possible pitfalls after export?

All metrics with filters are ignored right now as there is no place to put them. So they are only a guide while drawing.

Right, I remember we talked about it on another topic. As I understand it, at the export there will be just 12 degrees italic angle (my first metric without a filter), and even then, left slanted Arabic letters will be connected correctly. I’ll check it soon.

The italic angle doesn’t do anything except maybe to tilt the cursor.
