"n" icon at top left hand of screen

Hi! I’m new to Glyphs and was easily able to make a font and now need to work out the spacing. I love all the videos but they show a small icon in the top left hand corner that looks like a double “nn” (two buttons?)
(I’m a new user and it will not let me post two pics…sorry!)

How do I get those two buttons? I’m not seeing anything in the View Menu that brings those icons up for me.
