Narrow diacritics for lowercase î, ì, ï, ĩ etc

Hello all, I’m wondering what is the proper convention for naming the narrow set of diacritics for lowercase î, ì, ï, ĩ, etc in Glyph.

At the moment, I’m naming them with .alt ( i.e., circumflexcomb.alt), but I’m not sure if that’s the correct way. I’m open to suggestions. Please let me know when you have a moment.

Thank you in advance for any help.

There’s a tutorial for that:

That’s awesome! Thanks Mekkablue

Btw, do you suppose to export the xxxxcomb.narrow diacritics in the final version or only export the glyphs such as î, ì, ï, ĩ, etc.?

For Opentype fonts, you most likely don’t need them. But in TrueType it might be better to keep them so that those glyphs can stay composites.

Awesome. Thanks for your advice, @GeorgSeifert
