Hello, I noticed when pasting vector artwork from AI (tested with different clipboard prefs) the amount of nodes differs between AI and Glyphs, resulting with issues on variable fonts export. Please see attached, and please let me know if there is a way to maintain the amount of nodes of theAI vector files…
It is the same number of on-curve points. What isn’t showing in the AI version is the control handles. Otherwise they look the same to me.

A pure rectangle, with 4 corner nodes shows 4 nodes. The same with one round node shows 8 nodes…

For that second drawing, there are likely off-curve nodes (handles) sitting at the same position as the lower left corner and the upper right corner nodes. So, there really are 8 nodes. If you select a node then press the tab key, you’ll switch between nodes.
