Noob question 2: Renaming

Hi all,
Trying out Glyphs Mini, and having fun. BUT… I cannot figure out how to rename the font, or, at least, to get Font Book on Mac to recognize it.
Instructions say:

" 5.6.3 Renaming Glyphs
You can rename any glyph by simply clicking in its name field and editing the name as desired."

I can see the name at the top of the app window, and can rename it, but the exported version is named “New Font” (which occurs to me, I should have searched for that…) and when brought into Font Book it’s also called “New Font.”

It works as expected in InDesign.
Any help appreciated!

I don’t think you are looking in the right place. You’re not intending to rename glyphs, but the font family. Press Cmd+I (File > Font Info) and change the Family Name entry.

The name at the top of the app window is the name of the Glyphs source file, not the font. If you go into Font Info (File > Font Info or just Cmd-I), you’ll see at the top of the first tab there’s a spot for the exported font name.
