I’m getting some unusual extra kerning being applied to some instances after export. The design space for the font is pretty big, so it could be a few things. The three variables here that I’m wondering about:
- I use Kern On for kerning. I have been linking the Display optical size masters through Import Master which means the two kerning systems might not be talking to each other well. But I’ve made sure the model pairs and kerning groups match
- I use the KERN feature to add some spacing in the variable font (though this visual bug is present in the static exports too).
- These are component glyphs with automatic alignment (also using #entry and #exit). I tried a number of things to make sure it wasn’t caused by this, but I don’t know a ton about what’s under the hood there. So maybe I’m missing something
