OpenType « Script-sensitive » forms

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if it was possible someway to make digits, punctuation or other characters sensitive to the script they are used in. Just like Case-sensitive forms that change depending on the Case.

Here, I want to know if I can use OpenType (or something else) to make two sets of digits, one for Arabic and another for Latin.

PS1 I’m refering only to Arabic digits that are used in North Africa/Europe… (123), not Arabic-Persian ones (١٢٣).
PS2 I’m aware of the existence of Arabic punctuation, but it’s a limited set. The rest of the punctuation is shared with Latin if they’re in the same file.

Thanks in advance for your help!

That is what the locl feature is meant for. This works similarly to this: https://glyphsapp.com/tutorials/localize-your-font-polish-kreska
