Place an Anchor on a Diagonal Line

Hi! I’m trying to add an anchor to a diagonal line, but the line falls between two grid points. I can’t place the anchor between the points. See screenshot. Would love some advice. I tried holding the ctrl key, but this did not work.

Go to font info and and set grid spacing to 0, which disables grid. You can keep it that way in the final font too.
