I was trying to design a font for Yezidi Script but could not be able to import the Unicodes for some reason. Either ways, it would be a great addition to default file templates that are available when a new file is being created.

We have not had any input on Yezidi yet. Have you made a font with Yezidi before?
How could you not add the Unicode values?
I added the base unicodes to the glyphData. Are there any other glyphs needed to fully support Yezidi?
Can you have a look at the names and other properties?

It seems to be working on Glyphs and character properties you shared seems to be right. Can you make it a set, so, it would be easier to make a font out of it instead of adding each glyph separately?
It looks nice so far, thank you so much.
We can add it to the sidebar. But with the next update you can quickly add it from the Glyph Info window, too.

Yeah, I would rather have it on the sidebar and in the file creation menu if it won’t be a bargain for you. Otherwise, thank you for your interest and efforts.
And are there any other glyphs needed? Positional forms or ligatures?
And can the makes be attached to all glyphs? Meaning should we add anchors to all letters?

I know that initially there were more diacritical marks but it is not used currently since their importance is lost. In past, some characters could be connected and had variations depending on their location of appearance but this also is not applied today. I would rather have this as an option but I don’t have any further information about this other than the initial Unicode proposal that has been done in 2019 which gives examples regarding this feature.
You should definitely check the link I provide. Unicode later removed 1ED70 in the initial proposal and kept 1ED6F only (Referring to the proposed Unicode codes.) but I think that was a mistake. “Û” is a longer vowel than “u” and written as one character, usually kerned tightly. So, even when it is hard to recognize the difference at first sight, it should be recognized that even though “aa” and “â” or “ā” can stand for the same sound, they differ from language to language.

For the sidebar we need a sidebar. What would be a good letter for it? And could you draw one that would fit with the other icons?

Considering Yezidi (Yazidi) people refer to themselves as Êzîdî, Êzdî or Êzidî; emphasizing “ê” sound would be useful, which is a distinct character itself. I can try to design “ê” and post it here for the sidebar.
I added some decomposition and anchors.

I see that the new update includes Yezidi Script as one of the default file templates but the icon does not show up on any of the menus so far. Is that because my design did not qualify or something else? Thanks.
I didn’t get to it yet. Thanks for the reminder.
