what I was trying to do in the first place was offsetting path inwards(minus amount) when I realized that it’s not possible with offset curve filter I tried installing plugins that might do it but unfortunately did not work.
The offset curve filter does do that. What exactly are you trying to do? Can you post a screenshot or sketch?
I designed the bold version of my font, I wanted to offset paths inwards, tweak it and make a light version out of it, but offset curve filter doesn’t accept minus values!
Yes it does:
for me when i enter a minus amount it resets!! however when i enter minus value in font info>instance>custom parameters its works!
Have you set the Make Stroke option? It should be disabled.

Which keyboard layout are you using, and which key are you pressing for the minus?
And what happens when you set the value to zero and then press the down arrow on your keyboard?
im using default English ABC input.
when I press down arrow on keyboard it just jumps back to 0!
Which version of Glyphs and the macOS are you using? I cannot reproduce it.
Also: which Mac?
And is it the same with a different keyboard layout and in a different user?
the last cutting edge for glyphs, catalina 10.15 mac os.
i didnt have a chance to test it on a different keyboard layout. but i will try to test it.
