Hello,
For interpolation: I’m looking for a script that can be used to ‘unify’ points and curves in two weights,
for example Light and Black. In short: Preparing two weights for interpolation.
I can see that Glyphs is very demanding that points have to be located the same place in the weights, and number of points also have to be the same …
Thank you!
All of this is built in already. Please read the Multiple Masters tutorials, in particular part 2:
In a nutshell, you need these three functions, in order of importance:
- Hold down the Option key and choose Paths > Correct Path Direction for all Masters (Cmd-Opt-Shift-R): it relocates the start point, reorders the paths and corrects the path directions.
- Filter > Fix Compatibility for reordering paths and components manually
- View > Show Master Compatibility (Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-N) for seeing (in)compatibilities
- right-click on a node > Make Node First from the context menu to set the starting point.
This is a basic prerequisite of interpolation, not Glyphs in particular.
