I have some problems with the auto-metric feature.
The left glyph is “_circle” (path), which get It’s Sidebearings from the “O”.
And the right one (component from _circle and component from seven.sup - not aligned) is getting the sidebearings from this one (_circle)
But Glyphs moves the component always silently to the left. And shows no error in the info below the glyph ( as you see), only in edit view.
Any ideas?
What is the order of the components (it seems to be “seven.denominator” and “_circle”)?
Are there any anchors in the _circle or seven.denominator glyphs?
And can you show a screenshot when in edit mode?
(The glyph name for the seven should probably be “seven.dnom”).
Can you send me the .glyphs file?
Very strange. The glyphs are now marked as “out of sync”. And I can’t reproduce the behaviour from yesterday. Neither with a backup. So everything is as it should be.
I’ll send you the file, if it will occur again…
This happens to me all the time in G2 and G3. It says the metrics are synched when they clearly aren’t. I believe it usually happens when I copy a component from one weight and paste it into another. A trick i’ve found is to nudge it one click to the left or right when I see them, but that doesn’t account for ones that may be hiding.
