A few years ago I had a macro I think from fontshop that was a QA script, it ran a number of tests on the font for common mistakes and things that might be missing.
Is there anything like this available now.

Or, rather, the Rust rewrite of Fontbakery, which is 1000× faster (really, that’s the actual speed increase):
Ah, yes, FontQA, RIP. At FontShop we had hundreds of custom checks in it, much more than what was available in the public version.
Monotype didn’t know what to do with it after the takeover, and was also opposed to making all of it available to the public, so it was killed.
Google later had to reinvent the wheel with Fontbakery, but on a much higher technical level, at FontShop’s font engineering team we all were self-taught programmers after all.
