Random Font/Paths on a simple font

Hello everyone!

I’m a new member here and already have a question which is very specific.

I will write/design my diploma next semester and I’m thinking about a font which is based on a »simple« typeface but with a small twist to it.

My question:
Is it possible to set parameters for the font in glyphs and tell the paths of a font to be »random« everytime you type a letter.

Thank you for the answers!

example…

Not really. You can have different predefined shapes for each letters and pseudo-randomize (not 100% random) how they appear, but no shapes can be calculated on the fly while typing in an .otf font.

It used to be possible in PostScript Type3 fonts. But they are not supported anywhere anymore. Perhaps Distiller? But you would not have that live typing experience that you are looking for.
