Request: close "open outside corners" when exporting UFO

Hey,

i was wondering if it would make sense to add an option (checkbox) that would close all open outside corners when exporting an *.ufo file from Glyphs. We’re working with external kerning/spacing tools and therefore need those corners closed to be able to proceed. Finding them manually is quite a pain.

Same situation here. The script helps yet a checkbox would be super simple and easy?

You could build that code into a plug-in and run it as a PreFilter at export.

Okay – I could imagine though that more people are interested in this being more accessible – people (like me) who don’t know how to program a plugin. Could you help building such plugin?

In 2.5, the UFO-export has an option “decompose smart stuff” that includes outside overlaps.

For now, it includes outside corners and Smart Components and Corner components.
